I’m a guy with blonde hair. How can I either dye my hair white or give it a silver look? Short/spiked style?
Preferably without bleach. For instance, how does Jay Manuel get that color?
It depends on how light your blonde hair is. If you have really light blonde hair, you might be able to get close to the white hair by using a violet toner, which cancels out the yellow. But I don’t get why everyone is so afraid of bleach; if you’re smart about it and condition your hair properly, your hair won’t get fried. I just bought the Raw White Out Bleach Kit and though I haven’t tried it yet, it comes with both bleach and toner so it seems like a really good deal. I bleached my hair about a month and a half ago and though it was pretty dry right after wards, I deep conditioned it with some deep conditioner by Aussie and it was good as new. But if you still really don’t want to bleach it, go to a local salon supply store like Sally’s and ask about getting violet toner.
