If you didn’t win anything at a rodeo can you still wear a trophy buckle?
I’m looking at a rodeo buckle, but It’s a trophy buckle and I haven’t won anything. I’m wondering if I could still wear it/ engrave it with the name of my ranch or something along those lines. Any suggestions?
The reason I want it is because it’s a really good looking belt buckle, but it is a trophy buckle.

I agree with Mule – This is a buckle with a team roper on it. A trophy buckle would also have the show, date and probably placing engraved on it. So go ahead and get it if you like it – nothing wrong with saying you like team roping.
Wearing a trophy buckle though that you hadn’t won is a bit like a lie I think. It says you did something that you really didn’t do.
