See European Castles And Stay At Edinburgh Hotels

Visitors to Edinburgh usually spend at least some of their time on the Royal Mile and can book Edinburgh hotels nearby. The Royal Mile is bookmarked by two of Scotland’s greatest palaces. The palace at Holyrood house is probably one of history’s most famous Royal residences as it served as the home of Bloody Mary, or Mary Queen of Scots as she was known to her fearful subjects. There are several unique places to explore along this famous road, including the Writers Museum. The museum displays the works of some of Scotland’s most famous writers including Robert Burns and Sir Walter Scott. The Edinburgh museum is a great place to go to see some ancient Roman artifacts and historical items. Visitors can also take a trip to the Scottish Parliament, one of Europe’s most modern seats of government. The other end of the Royal Mile is home to the iconic Edinburgh castle. The castle is one of the city’s most visited tourist destinations and houses the Scottish crown jewels, the oldest crown jewels in the British Isles.

Another inspiring city which makes a great holiday destination is Dublin. For those who want the convenience of accommodation right in the center of town should look for central Dublin hotels. Close to the lively Temple Bar area holidaymakers can visit Dublin castle which has occupied the same spot for 800 years, though only the record tower remains from the original Norman structure.

For potential tourists that would prefer a break on the continent Prague hotels are a great choice. Prague is becoming something of a juxtaposed city as it has become one of Europe’s party capitals despite being one of the continent’s most picturesque cities having escaped heavy bombing in both world wars. The majestic Prague castle is the city’s most iconic monument. The castle is the current home of the Czech president and a few excellent museums and galleries that can be visited on a multipass.
