Some duvets covers are made expensive because the material used to produce them is stylish rather than strong. I will highlight some things that are worth noting when purchasing covers. Firstly there is the thread count. Materials that have a high thread count are not only of better quality but are also more expensive as well. The common duvet cover has a thread count of between 180 and 200. In my opinion for thread counts higher than this the only difference is the price.
You will find duvet covers that are made of cotton, silk and satin. Of these three cotton is the most widespread. Even though they may appear to be hard initially they do soften up after a few washes and are the strongest. Satin is softer than cotton but not as strong. It is basically all about style and if you want that touch to your room then you can go for satin duvet covers.
Silk is made from the silk that is made by worms so I will not say much about its strength. If you are looking for beauty and elegance then a silk cover will give just that. Silk covers have the most beautiful variations in terms of design. With this information I’m sure you can now pick duvet covers that are suitable for you.
