Japanese Hina
When Japanese people are in University where do they live?
In Japanese university they dont have dorms live in America maybe only international universitys but I’m talking about typical normal Japanese univeristys.The age of Majority in Japan is 20,but I see and read in Anime/Manga which are based in Japan they are Japanese mostly ronin that live in Boarding houses like Love Hina/Maison Ikkoku.or kids who are going to University in a distant place.But Where would 18 or 19 years old live in Univeristy,I never see 18 year olds or 19 year olds in Univeristy in Anime that live with their parents and do you have to be 20 to rent your own place by your place without your parents?
Depends on universities and students.
There are university dorms (yeah, there are), and also there are furnished apartments specially for students subsidized partly by university. In big cities, however students generally either stay with their family or rent an apartment themselves. It is nothing special about renting your own apartment at age of 18 in Japan, and nothing to do with the age limit of 20.

Don’t extrapolate everything you see in anime into the real world.
