It is well-known for the reputation of swiss watches even though with a high prices.But the industry of watchmaking is not start from the native switzerland.In the late of sixteen centruy,the religion struggle in France lead to a massacre,the Huguenots Albigensian followed with Calvin escaped to switzerland with the newest technology of watchmaking.This kind technology combined with the native gold and silver jewelry indutry bring up the the watch industry of switzerland.From Geneva related with France,along with the Jura Mountains untill to the Schaffhausen in the northeast,the industry started to spread all the switzerland.
At the begining of the watch industry,almost all the watches were made by handwork.From 1845,the machinery technology started to begin and a large amount of watches were produced by the company which means it become the mordern industry department in this field.In the later century,the amount of watches improved hugely and almost 1.04 watches were produced every year which ocuppied 40% of the total production in order to export.Even though,the swiss watch industry kept a highly concentration more than the three century with a status of scattering,except for the samll famous brand factory,it never highly concentration,most of the factory is the medium-sized.In order to face the strong competiton,the watch making undustry built its first reaserch center in Switzerland and then built the Spreadsheet software center.Befor the 70s,some newest technology appeared in switzerland at the first time which include the world’s first quartz watch in the world.But it is pity for the company developed this technology at that time which be instead of the new technology by Japan and Hongkong later.
The type of swiss watches is mainly be clarified in two series.One is the luxury watch which combined with the jewelry with the sales target of the wealthy people in western world such an Rolex Watches.Another is the mechanical watch with a common prices.After ten years hardworking and devolopment,the company got a huge in the watch industry.Until today,we can see the swiss watches all the world.
