Catch Up On The Global Automotive Industry News About Nissan
The news on the automotive industry is that Nissan has big plans. Just when the Indian car market is sparked to heat up, one of the major car manufacturers in the world, Nissan, has made some big plans. Nissan Motor India Pvt. Lts. has opened a new corporate office. The location is T. Nagar, Chennal. The person at the helm of leadership will be Kiminobu Tokuyama. Also present at the inaugural were representatives of the Nissan partnership, Renault Nissan Automotive India Private.
Nissan plans to cover a whopping 85 per cent of the car market in India. They will have 11 dealerships operating in the country before this years’ end. By 2012 Nissan has projected they will increase the 11 dealerships to 55. Among their many goals is to have their dealerships in place within the immediate future. In doing this they want to have the dealers collectively capable to achieve success.
Nissan plans to outsource many of their components. Next year their goal is to send out components worth $20 million. This number is anticipated to double within two years. Additionally, Nissan plans to export cars from their headquarters in India to more than one hundred countries.
The automotive repair industry news explains that Nissan will be hiring 56 employees by the end of this year. This number will double in size within the following year. The production workers will be located in the new headquarters that covers 10,000 square feet. The state of the art building will feature open workstations. Nissan plans to promote friendliness along with a culture of openness. Nissan has warned that they plan to be a major league player in India. Next year they will begin producing the Global Compact car that will be solely manufactured in India.
Nissan is proud to be offering nine new models in India. The fact they reported to the automotive industry news that they will open with this large number of models points out that they are entering this new market where they know they will be successful.
Nissan presently has 5.5 per cent of the auto market. Their plans are to increase this number with the opening of additional Indian dealerships along with a lineup of new models. A hatchback, which is built on the V platform, will be the entry car in the Indian market. Nissan will also offer two other autos one of which is a utility vehicle and the other being a sedan. They point out that there are no plans to offer the A segment initially.
Manufacturing the low cost compact model, while additionally manufacturing luxury cars along with a commercial vehicle Nissan believes their intent will clear any doubt of their intentions to other auto manufacturers, per automotive industry news. It has just been six months ago that Nissan had not revealed how they planned to react to the ever-changing automobile industry. They believe they have now cleared any doubts.
It is clear that Nissan and their partner companies will continue to be major players in the field of automobile production. They have proven they know how to lead and to compete.
