Why do Hindu’s in india wash God Ganesha’s statue with bucket loads of cow milk?
When 300 million children in india suffer from eye conditions because their parents who beg on the streets cant afford to buy any milk for these poor children?
its called abhisheka .. they also do abhisheka by smearing butter ,water ,smearing sandal ,smearing sacred ash called vebhuthi…
its done to most of the deities we worship ..
1.well as for your comment we pray for rains and harvest and food too by doing this …
in general we pray to these deities for a good life ,knowledge,peace and prosperity of the citizens of world
2. its the duty of the government to take appropriate steps to help the citizens lead a good life ….but unfortunately this is not done..
