what is the best brand of drum kit in Australia?

I’m getting a drum kit at the end of the year and want to know what brand is the best like Pearl, Yamaha, DW brands like that. Also what is better 5 piece or 7 piece?

Those are all good brands of kits. DW makes some amazing drums but their kits are about $3,000 for a 5 piece. I really like Yamaha’s but compared to Pearl they are a bit more expensive. If you’re just starting out, I would go with Pearl. I played a Pearl for my first 5 years, and it worked great. If you intermediate go for Yamaha.
As far as a 5 or 7. That’s your choice. I personally like a smaller kit, 4 piece, because it forces me to think harder about fills. Usually with bigger kits I’m so overwhelmed I try to hit everything at once in my fills. haha.
Try to remember what kinda gigs you’ll be playing too. If you’re playing 5 nights a week. Chances are you won’t be lugging around a 7 piece. Probably a 4 piece with minimal cymbals. Good luck
