How to remove skeleton from cat?
There is a dead cat outside of my apartments, and I would like to use its skeleton for a science experiment. I know that removing the skin from it would be very very unsanitary, and I have no idea how to do it without ruining the skeleton. Someone please help?
The best way is to isolate the skeleton in something you do not care about at all and allow insects to do their thing. If you need the skeleton quicker than the two or three weeks it will take the bugs then I would recommend that you buy some laytex gloves, anti-microbial soap, and an Exacto knife and get to work. Dissecting the cat is not too difficult because you don’t have to perserve any of the organs and bone is the strongest substance in the body. The bugs are a lot safer, but the dissection is much faster.
