What gift should I get my host families in Samoa?
Hi,
My study abroad program next semester includes four home-stay experiences. I thought it would be nice if I brought them something to thank them for having me.
What should I get them?
I am from Japan, so I was thinking of getting the kids some little trinkets and stuffed animals, and possibly cloth (furoshiki) for the adults. Any ideas?
Those sound like great ideas! and I don’t know what your budget is but my friends had a student from a similar program staying in their home from Japan and she bought the family like traditional fans with the really nice origami as well as kimonos, i think that’s what it’s called. But my friend really liked her gift so if you buy something as a gift that is traditional or that will remind them of the country and you then it should be perfect.
