American Pottery

Could anybody tell me where to go in Paraguay how is the food and how much is the value of the American?
money over there what is a dollar worth, and what are good tourist spots where to go, and what to buy what are they known for pottery wool i don’t have a clue help anybody out there
Lucky for you, Ive been to paraguay 4 times…
a dollar gets you way more than a dollar would here… ex. a bottle of Desani is like 50 cents…
The food is good. Traditional foods are Sopa Paraguaya (moist cornbread), Milanesa (breaded and fried steak or chicken), and Empanadas (dough folded over ground beef, chicken, eggs, ham and cheese, corn, or sometimes other things- and fried. think of a fried perogi or kinda a hot pocket thing). Of course in the cities there are McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Burger King, if you are really craving something from home.
There is not much for tourists, maybe the Iguasu Falls (biggest waterfall in the world..). Most of the country is small villages, and a couple of cities. It is a place to go for the culture, not for tourism. The “campo” (countryside) is full of different places to visit, but it is like all the same. Asuncion, the capital, has more tourist- things. Downtown, nightblubs, bars, cantinas, malls, special events, parties, etc. I have family down there, so I just go places with them. I dont know what you can do if you are all alone…
They are known for leather goods, Terere (tea used for centuries- google it!), nanduti (woven, sort of knitted items like table decorations).
My advice is to absorb the culture, because there is no place like Paraguay!
I’m going back in a month… maybe i will see you there! hahaha
Good luck with your travels!!!
